PURPOSE: The EU Advocacy and Policy Officer will work with the EU Advocacy and Policy Co-ordinator and others to ensure that Saferworld achieves its objectives of:

• Promoting more effective EU action to prevent violent conflict, regulate EU arms exports and tackle the proliferation of small arms and light weapons, and support effective security and justice sector development in partner countries.
• Maximising Saferworld’s profile amongst EU decision makers, opinion formers and media.
• Ensuring relevant linkages made between our EU advocacy objectives and Saferworld’s work elsewhere, and with other NGO partners and networks.
